If you’re heading down to Tinderbox anyway to walk the marine reserve trail, this spot makes a pretty easy case for turning it into a full afternoon. The undercover BBQ setup is genuinely useful — not just a token fire grate bolted to a post — and there’s enough open grass for kids to run around while the adults sort out the food. Picnic tables and benches mean you’re not eating off your lap, which sounds basic but a lot of reserves around here can’t say the same. It’s accessible, relaxed, and about as low-effort as a good outdoor day gets.
