The natural timber equipment here has a proper outdoorsy feel that a lot of the newer plastic playgrounds just don’t have. They relocated the whole setup a while back and it’s genuinely better for it — way more shade from the trees, which makes a real difference on a Perth summer afternoon. Kids aged 3 and up will find enough to keep them busy between the swings and sandbox, while adults can make use of the outdoor gym or just walk a lap of the path. Being this close to the bush trails gives it a relaxed, unhurried vibe, and dogs are welcome which always helps. One of the more underrated spots in Kardinya if you ask me.
