Northridge Park – Main Playground

If you’ve got kids spread across a wide age range, this park in Northridge actually works for all of them — which isn’t as common as you’d think. The little ones get their own gated, shaded zone so you’re not chasing a toddler across a full-size field, while the older kids have parkour-style structures that’ll keep them busy way longer than a standard climbing set. There are inclusive swings here too, which is something a lot of local parks skip entirely. After playground time, the basketball court and soccer field mean the sports-obsessed kids in your crew don’t have to call it a day early. Parking is easy, restrooms are on-site, and the shade trees actually do their job — worth a lot on a hot San Fernando Valley afternoon.
