Silversteen park

If you live in Brevard, you probably already know about Silversteen — and if you don’t, fix that this weekend. The zipline is the obvious draw for kids, but honestly the whole setup feels like someone actually thought about how families use a park, with real shade trees, covered seating, and picnic tables that don’t feel like an afterthought. Little Norton Creek runs nearby, so kids end up wet regardless of whatever plans you had. There’s also a basketball court and a walking path, which means adults have something to do while the 3-to-12 crowd runs itself ragged. It’s close to downtown Brevard but sits in a quiet neighborhood, which gives it a completely different vibe than you’d expect.
