If you’re local and haven’t spent a full afternoon at Dan Nicholas Park yet, you’re missing out. The merry-go-round and play train are the obvious kid magnets, but honestly the whole place has enough going on that adults don’t just end up sitting there staring at their phones — the walking paths wind near the lake and get genuinely peaceful once you’re past the main activity areas. There’s solid shade throughout, which matters a lot come July in Salisbury, and the picnic tables fill up fast on weekends for good reason. It’s one of those parks that works for a quick Tuesday trip or a full family gathering without feeling like you have to pick just one thing to do.
