Water Playground at Helmerich Park

If you live on the south side of Tulsa, you already know Helmerich Park is the summer spot. The water playground pulls families in hard — there’s a pirate ship setup that younger kids absolutely lose their minds over, plus a splash pad that runs when the heat gets serious, which in Oklahoma is basically half the year. Swings are there for the kids who want a break from getting soaked, and the open grass gives parents room to actually breathe. The walking and bike paths along the river make it worth the trip even when the water feature is off — it’s one of those parks where you can kill a whole afternoon without trying.
