Got a kid in that 5-12 range who’s over the baby stuff? Salem Lake Playground is worth the trip. They redid it not too long ago and the slides actually have some height to them now — older kids aren’t immediately bored, which is a win. The lake is right there, so after they’ve run themselves out on the equipment you can walk the trail that loops around it. Honestly one of the calmer spots in Virginia Beach, especially on a weekday morning.
