Hidden Beach County Park

Locals know this little park is one of the better-kept secrets in Aptos, tucked right where the beach meets the trees. The all-abilities playground has a rubber surface, so it’s genuinely usable for kids of different needs — not just a checkbox, it actually works. There’s a sandbox and a merry-go-round, shaded seating when the sun gets going, and picnic tables if you want to make a proper afternoon of it. The grassy field is big enough to spread out, the walking path connects to forest trails, and dogs are welcome. Come early on weekends if you want parking — word is getting out.
