If you’ve got kids who need to burn off serious energy, this is where Carbondale locals tend to land on a hot afternoon. The water feature is the main draw when temps climb, and it does the job well. Soccer fields dominate the athletic side of things, and there’s enough open space that you won’t feel like you’re on top of other families. Parking is easy, restrooms are on-site, and the walking path gives adults something to do while the kids run wild. It hosts community events pretty regularly, so worth checking what’s on before you go.
