McIntire Playground is one of those spots that feels like it actually got some attention recently — everything’s clean, well-kept, and you’re not dodging trash or broken equipment. Bring a lunch because the picnic tables make it easy to settle in for a bit. It’s pretty low-key compared to some of the flashier parks in Charlottesville, but honestly that’s part of why locals keep coming back.
