Marinwood Creek Playground

If you live in the North San Rafael area, this one’s probably already in your rotation. The creek access is the real draw — kids wade in, poke around, and completely lose track of time while you actually get to sit and breathe for a minute. Shade trees keep the picnic tables comfortable most of the day, which matters a lot once summer hits. There’s a decent grass field for running around, and the trails nearby make it easy to tack on a short walk if everyone still has energy. The separate play zones for little ones versus bigger kids is a nice touch that keeps the chaos somewhat contained.
