Great Bend doesn’t have a ton of playgrounds that actually work for the full range of kids, but this one pulls it off. The zipline alone is worth the trip — older kids will claim it immediately — while the water feature and musical equipment keep the little ones busy without anyone feeling like an afterthought. There’s real shade here, which matters in a Kansas summer, and the restrooms and picnic tables mean you’re not cutting the visit short because someone’s hungry or needs a bathroom. Honestly, it’s one of those spots where you can actually sit down and relax while the kids wear themselves out.
