Eastside Memorial Park

If you live on the east side of Emporia, this park is just part of the routine — and honestly, that’s a good thing. The playground has enough going on to keep kids busy for a solid stretch: slides, tunnels, a tire swing, regular swings, the works. There’s a basketball court and a big open grass field for whoever wants to run around or throw something. What really makes it worth the trip is the practical stuff — shaded seating, picnic tables, a BBQ area, and restrooms that are actually kept up. It’s a city park that does its job without any fuss.
