If you’re looking for a solid spot to kick a ball around or just get some steps in, Dixon Park delivers without any fuss. The soccer fields are well-kept, and the walking path is a good loop for a morning jog or an after-dinner stroll. What actually sets this park apart for me is the outdoor rink — not something you expect to find at a neighborhood park in Fredericksburg, but there it is. The restrooms are clean and actually maintained, which sounds like a low bar but trust me, it matters. Plenty of parking and open grass means it handles a crowd without feeling chaotic.
