Hillsboro Town Park and Playground

If you’re local to Denton and just need somewhere low-key to take the kids for a few hours, this little park in Hillsboro does the job well. The shaded seating and picnic tables make it a solid lunch spot — pack a cooler and you’re set. There’s an open grass field where older kids can actually run around, and the playground keeps the younger ones busy. Nothing fancy, but that’s kind of the point.
