Millikin Woods Park

If you’ve got kids anywhere between toddler and tween age, this park is genuinely one of the better spots in Hamilton. The playground equipment is newer hard plastic stuff set on a cork surface, which is way better than the asphalt nightmare setups you see at older parks — falls happen, and here they don’t end in tears. When it’s hot out, the splash pad is the main event, and it gets busy for good reason. Pack a lunch because the picnic shelters are clean, the grills actually work, and there’s real shade to sit in while the kids wear themselves out. The concrete walking path winds near wooded areas where you’ll catch deer and all kinds of birds if you pay attention.
