World of Wonders Park

This little park punches way above its weight for a quiet neighborhood spot in Carthage. The climbing structure and barn-style slide setup are genuinely different from the cookie-cutter equipment you see everywhere else — kids actually stop and look around before they start playing, which tells you something. It works well for a pretty wide age range too, from babies just watching the action to second and third graders who want to actually climb something. Pack a lunch because the picnic tables make it easy to stretch the visit out, and restrooms mean you’re not cutting the afternoon short. The whole thing has that community-built feel, like people around here actually cared how it turned out.
