Cross Creek County Park doesn’t get nearly enough credit for how well-kept it is out here in Avella. Honestly, for a county park this far out in Washington County, it punches above its weight — everything looks maintained and cared for, not like it’s been forgotten about. People who make the trip out tend to leave pretty happy, which says a lot when you’re dealing with rural Pennsylvania park budgets. Worth the drive if you’re in the area.
