The rubber matting under the equipment here is genuinely one of the better setups you’ll find for toddlers and preschoolers — softer landings, less anxiety for parents. It’s part of a bigger athletic complex in Moriches, so while the little ones play, you’ve got basketball courts nearby and usually some kind of game going on in the background. Picnic tables, shaded seating, restrooms, and a concession stand mean you can actually stay for a few hours without scrambling. Equipment is kept up well, which isn’t something you can say about every playground on Long Island.
