Allihies Playground

Out on the Beara Peninsula, this little playground punches above its weight for such a remote spot. The climbing structure keeps kids genuinely busy, and honestly the views from here are something else — you’re looking out over the kind of scenery that makes people stop their cars. There’s a bit of rust on some of the equipment, which is just what happens when you’re this close to the Atlantic, but nothing that gets in the way of a good visit. The locals clearly take pride in keeping it tidy, and it shows.
