Honestly one of the better spots on the south Cork coast for families with toddlers and small kids — it’s fully enclosed, which makes such a difference when you’re trying to keep an eye on little ones near the water. The beach is right there, so you can easily do both in the one trip without the kids getting overwhelmed. There are picnic tables and benches, so bring food and actually sit down for a bit rather than eating standing up in a car park like everywhere else. Best suited for the under-6 crowd.
