If you’re on post and looking for somewhere to take the kids that doesn’t feel like a parking lot with a swing set, Round Pond is worth knowing about. The outdoor recreation area sits right along the water, which honestly does half the work — kids get distracted by the pond before you even have to think about what else is there. It’s a low-key spot, more about the setting than a packed amenity list, but that’s kind of the point. Good for a slower afternoon when you just need to get outside without driving off post.
