Sloomoo Institute – Chicago

If you’ve never stuck your hands into a wall of slime before, this is where that changes. The Chicago location draws a solid mix of kids and adults who are genuinely into the sensory stuff — different textures, wild scents, DIY slime bars — and it’s way more interactive than it sounds on paper. The place is kept surprisingly clean for somewhere that’s basically a slime factory, and the staff actually seem to enjoy being there, which makes a difference. Parking is available, which matters more than people admit for this part of the city. Weird, tactile, weirdly satisfying — it’s one of those spots that’s hard to explain until you’ve just done it.
