If you’re looking for a spot in Rockford where the equipment doesn’t look like it’s been there since 1987, this one’s worth knowing about. The playground has newer slides and swings that actually hold up, and it’s set up to work for a pretty wide range of kids — not just the littlest ones. What a lot of parents around here really appreciate is the shade situation. There are trees and covered seating that make it genuinely comfortable to hang out for a while, not just endure it.
