River Bends Barrier Free Playground

Locals are genuinely proud of this one, and honestly, it deserves the hype. The barrier-free design means kids of all abilities can actually play together — not just coexist near each other — which sounds simple but is harder to pull off than most parks manage. The zipline is always a crowd favorite, and between the climbing structure, swings, and musical equipment, there’s enough variety that kids aren’t fighting over the same thing for an hour. Restrooms on site, which parents around here know not to take for granted. Shelby Township did right by this community.
