Hiawatha Playfield

The turf soccer field here gets serious use — local leagues run games on weekends and the field actually holds up well compared to some of the rougher patches you’ll find at other Seattle parks. There’s a walking and running track that loops around the open grass area, and you’ll see regulars out there pretty much any morning of the week. It’s genuinely a go-to spot for families with kids in youth sports, but also just solid if you want open space to kick a ball around without booking anything. Parking can feel a little confusing the first time you show up, but there is a dedicated lot once you figure out the approach. Restrooms on site, which matters more than people admit.
