Twin Lakes Kids Playground

Castle Park — that’s what locals actually call it — is one of the better playgrounds in Juneau, and the lakeside setting makes it feel less like a typical city park and more like somewhere worth spending a real afternoon. The castle-themed structure is legitimately cool, with towers, slides, and a zipline that keeps older kids busy while the little ones work the swings and climbing gear. Accessibility is clearly a priority here: wheelchair-friendly ramps and accessible swings mean it actually works for all ages and abilities, not just in theory. Restrooms, picnic tables, shaded seating, and decent parking round it out — parents aren’t stuck standing in the rain, which matters a lot in Southeast Alaska. It stays clean and well-maintained, which isn’t something you can say about every playground in town.
