Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park Playground

If you haven’t taken the kids on the little play train here yet, fix that this weekend. Leakin Park is one of Baltimore’s biggest green spaces, and this playground sits right on the edge of serious forest — we’re talking actual trails that go deep into the woods, not just a patch of grass with some trees. The art installations scattered through the park are a nice touch that most people walk right past, which is kind of a shame. Pack a lunch because the picnic tables get you right in the middle of it all, and honestly this place works just as well for a quiet solo walk as it does for a full family outing.
