Mueller Lake Park Playground

If you’re an Austin local and haven’t made it out to Mueller Lake Park yet, you’re genuinely missing out. The playground sits right alongside the lake, so while the kids are working the climbing structure or fighting over the swings, you’ve got an actual view worth looking at. There’s solid shade from mature trees, which — if you’ve survived an Austin summer — you know is non-negotiable. Pack a lunch for the picnic tables or just wait around for the ice cream cart to show up, because it usually does. The walking path around the lake is easy enough for little ones, and the whole setup works well from toddlers through older kids.
