If you’ve got kids in the 2-10 range, Cherry Park is one of those spots you’ll end up at more weekends than you can count. The sandbox alone keeps the little ones busy forever, and there’s enough going on — slides, swings, a climbing structure, merry-go-round — that older kids aren’t bored five minutes in. The enclosed play area is a lifesaver if you’ve got a runner, and the shade trees actually make it survivable in the Long Beach summer heat. Restrooms on-site, basketball court right there when the bigger kids are ready to move on. It’s just a solid, no-drama park that does everything right.
