Tucked into one of Tallahassee’s quieter neighborhoods, this spot gets a lot right. The shade trees actually do their job, so you’re not melting while your kids work through the climbing structure and swings — there’s something for the little ones and the older kids who need more of a challenge. Picnic tables and benches mean you can settle in for a real afternoon instead of just a quick stop, and parking is never the headache it is at some of the busier parks around town. The walking path is a nice bonus if you want to get some steps in while keeping an eye on everyone. Honestly, it’s the kind of low-key, well-kept playground that locals who know about it keep coming back to.
