East Rock families know this one well — it’s a solid neighborhood spot that gets regular use from locals who don’t want to trek across the city just to let their kids run around. Being this close to the Yale area means the surroundings are pretty well-kept, and it has that comfortable, familiar feel of a playground people actually depend on. Nothing flashy, but that’s kind of the point.
