If you’ve got little ones and you’re trying to beat the Louisiana heat, this splash pad inside Fontainebleau State Park is genuinely one of the better options on the Northshore. It skews younger — toddlers and early elementary kids tend to get the most out of it — and the whole area stays pretty clean compared to a lot of public water features. The park itself gives you a lot more to work with too: there’s beach access nearby, walking paths, and enough green space that you’re not just sitting on concrete watching kids get wet. It’s a solid half-day or full-day situation if you pack a cooler and lean into everything the park has going for it.
