The walking path winds through nicely, and the views up to the castle never really get old no matter how many times you’ve seen them. Restrooms and picnic tables make it practical enough for a proper stretch of time rather than just a quick pass-through. It’s central, it’s well-kept, and it earns its reputation as one of the better green spaces Edinburgh has going for it.
