Playpark by Horses

If you haven’t taken the kids here yet, you’re missing one of Edinburgh’s better-kept secrets. The water feature keeps little ones entertained while you actually get to breathe for five minutes — and with the forest trails and a pond nearby, there’s plenty to explore beyond the play area itself. Kids aged 3 and up tend to love it, especially when the horses are out grazing in the surrounding fields. Parking makes it genuinely easy to get to, and the open grass gives older ones room to run. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned.
