Go on a weekday if you can, because weekends turn the whole thing into a slow shuffle between elbows. The lights strung across Princes Street Gardens genuinely do look spectacular after dark — that part lives up to the hype. You’ve got your glühwein, your bratwurst, the usual market fare, and it’s all a bit pricey but honestly expected for the setting. The Ferris wheel gives you a decent view of the castle if you time it right. It’s chaotic and loud and totally worth doing at least once a winter.
