Silsden Road Playground

If you know Ilkley at all, you’ll know the views down the Wharfe valley don’t get old — and this spot makes the most of them. The playground is fully fenced, which is a genuine relief if you’ve got little ones who like to make a run for it, and the equipment is solid: slides, swings, and a climbing structure that keeps kids busy long enough for you to actually sit down. Picnic tables mean you can make a proper afternoon of it rather than just passing through. There’s a football field right next door too, so older kids have somewhere to burn off energy while the younger ones stick to the play area.
