Monks Abbey, Playground

Right in the heart of Lincoln, this little playground punches above its weight for the toddler and preschool crowd. You’ve got your classic slides, swings, and a merry-go-round — nothing fancy, but kids that age don’t need fancy. The open grass field gives them room to properly run about, and the walking path makes it easy for parents to stay moving while keeping an eye on things. It does get busy, especially on weekends, so go early if you want a quieter visit. The historic surroundings give it a bit of character you don’t get at your average park, and it’s kept noticeably clean, which honestly isn’t always a given.
