Derby’s got plenty of parks, but this one actually thinks about who’s using it — there are baby swings and toddler swings, so you’re not stuck trying to manage a little one on equipment that’s clearly meant for older kids. The climbing structure and slides keep the bigger ones busy while you’re not constantly hovering. Benches are dotted around sensibly, which sounds basic but makes a real difference when you just need to sit and watch for a bit. It’s a nice, well-kept area — the kind of place locals actually come back to rather than just stumbling across once.
