Staunton Harold Playpark

Right on the edge of Staunton Harold Reservoir, this one’s hard to beat for a proper family day out. The play area has been refurbished recently — zipline, climbing structure, slides — and the whole thing is enclosed, which makes life a lot easier if you’ve got younger kids you’d rather not chase across a field. There’s shaded seating, picnic tables, and restrooms on site, so you’re not scrambling for basics. After the kids burn off steam, the reservoir walk is right there, and honestly the views make it worth the trip on their own. Pack lunch or grab something from the cafe — either way, you’re not rushing off anytime soon.
