Monkshouse Play Area

Locals use this one more for a kickabout on the grass than the actual play equipment, if I’m honest — the football field gets a solid workout most weekends. There’s a decent setup for the kids with swings, a seesaw, climbing structure, and slides, though check the state of things before you go because equipment here has seen better days. The open space is genuinely generous, and dog walkers have claimed it pretty thoroughly too, so expect company. Good for the 2–12 crowd if you’re after somewhere with room to actually run around rather than just queue for a climbing frame.
