Charterhouse Park

If you’re after somewhere that actually feels like proper green space rather than a bit of grass behind a car park, Charterhouse is worth the trip. It’s a genuinely historic site with enough open field for kids to properly run themselves out, plus a decent little playground with slides, swings, and a climbing structure that keeps the 4–8 crowd busy for a solid stretch. Parents get benches with good sightlines, which makes a real difference. The walking paths head out toward woodland, so it doubles nicely as a proper family walk rather than just a playground visit. Parking’s available on site, and it never seems to get as rammed as some of the more central spots in Coventry.
