If you’re after somewhere to spend a proper afternoon without fighting for a picnic table, Charsfield Recreation Ground is worth the trip out from Woodbridge. There’s a solid mix of facilities here — basketball court, soccer field, and plenty of open grass if you just want to kick a ball around without a game plan. The BBQ area is the real draw for a lot of regulars, and with parking sorted and tables nearby, it’s actually set up well for a full day out. It tends to stay quieter than the bigger parks in the area, which makes a genuine difference when you’ve got kids who need room to run.
