Ufford Recreation Ground

Locals know this one punches well above its weight for a village rec ground. There are actually two separate play areas here — one pitched at toddlers, one for older kids — and the zipline is genuinely good, the kind that gets a queue going on a busy weekend. When the kids need a break from the playground, the woodland walks right on the doorstep have these carved wooden sculptures dotted along the path, which keeps younger ones engaged longer than you’d expect. Chuck in a basketball court, a soccer field, and decent parking and you’ve got a solid half-day out without driving anywhere complicated.
