If you’re local to St Albans and need somewhere to take the kids on a rainy afternoon, DJ’s Play Jungle is genuinely one of the better options around. The staff actually seem to enjoy being there, which makes a difference — they’re attentive without being over the top. There’s a dedicated baby area for the little ones, plus slides and a sandbox to keep older kids busy, and the whole place is kept properly clean (not always a given with indoor play centres). The cafe does decent coffee, which parents will appreciate more than they admit. It’s also a solid choice for birthday parties if you’re looking to hand the chaos over to someone else for a few hours.
