Willows Activity Farm

If you’ve got kids under 10 who are obsessed with farm animals or Peter Rabbit, this place is genuinely worth the trip out from St Albans. There’s a solid outdoor play setup — slides, swings, climbing frames, a water feature to inevitably soak someone — plus open grass for running off the chaos between activities. The shows are the real draw though; piglet races and cow milking demonstrations are the kind of thing kids talk about on the way home. Pack a picnic, use the tables, and you won’t need to spend a fortune on food. Parking’s easy, loos are on site, and there’s a walking path if you need five minutes of peace while the little ones burn energy on the field.
