Cutteslowe is one of those parks that actually delivers on the hype — locals know it well and keep coming back for good reason. The splash pad and sand pit are the obvious draws for younger kids, but the miniature railway is genuinely a highlight, not just a token attraction. Older children have plenty of open grass to run around on, and there’s enough here to stretch a visit into a proper half-day without anyone getting bored. Picnic tables, decent parking, and clean toilets make the logistics easy, which anyone with small children knows is half the battle. It’s well-kept, well-loved, and one of the better park days out you’ll find in Oxford.
