Lacock Playground

Right next to Lacock Abbey and the National Trust café, this is the obvious stop if you’re already dragging the kids round the village for the day. The play area is properly enclosed, which makes a big difference when you’ve got little ones — swings, slides, tunnels, and a climbing structure keep the under-10s busy without you having to chase anyone into the road. There’s a separate enclosed section with a basketball hoop and goals, good for older kids who want to kick a ball around without it disappearing across the field. Speaking of which, the open grass alongside is genuinely useful for a picnic or just letting toddlers roam. Parking, benches, picnic tables — it’s got everything you’d want for a longer stop.
