Tredegar Park Play Area

If you’re local to Newport and haven’t taken the kids to Tredegar Park yet, you’re genuinely missing out. The splash park is the real draw — on a warm day it gets busy fast, so go early. There’s also a decent skate park which keeps the older ones occupied while the little ones do their thing in the play area. It works well for a proper family day out rather than just a quick stop, and with the wider park around it there’s plenty of room to spread out. Suitable from age 2 upwards, so it covers a lot of ground for mixed-age families.
