Langdon Play Park

If you’re after somewhere the kids can actually burn off energy without it costing a fortune, this free-to-use park out in the Dover countryside does the job. There’s a zipline that older kids will queue up for repeatedly, plus a big slide and climbing structure to keep them occupied, and a separate area that works well enough for the little ones too. The open grass field is handy when they inevitably need more space to tear around. Free parking is a genuine bonus, and there are benches and picnic tables if you want to settle in for a while. Worth knowing though — a few of the bits are looking a bit tired, so it could do with some attention before it starts putting people off.
